Housing & Redevelopment

Northfield's homes and neighborhoods are a well-maintained blend of the historic and contemporary, with new developments still maintaining a connection to the city's architectural heritage. Diverse and affordable options are available to fulfill homeowner or renter preferences.

Development and redevelopment projects

The Northfield Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) has assisted with several development and redevelopment projects over the past 10-plus years. By using federal, state, and local resources, as well as partnerships and collaborative efforts, we are able to provide the community with an array of opportunities.

Our goal is to create a community with housing opportunities available along the entire housing spectrum: from renters to homeownership, first-time homeowners to senior living, workforce housing, and empty-nesters.

We strive to create affordable housing opportunities and strengthen our neighborhoods using these components:

  • Sustainability
