Overview
The Lincoln Parkway Traffic Analysis is intended to understand the effectiveness of the short-term improvement measures completed in 2021, develop future options and recommendations for Lincoln Parkway to increase multimodal connections and safety, and determine multimodal network improvements for safe routes to school.

- Lincoln Parkway from Greenvale Avenue to Dresden Avenue
- Spring Street from Greenvale Avenue to Lincoln Parkway
- Dresden Avenue from Lincoln Parkway to Fremouw Avenue
Dresden Avenue temporary bike demonstration
Temporary bike lanes have been put up on Dresden Avenue. The temporary bike demonstration is provided by a grant from the State Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) to improve safe biking to reach Greenvale Park Elementary School and Northfield's Community Education Center.
The temporary lanes will be up through October 9. City staff and volunteers will collect feedback onsite when school is back in session in September.
Goals
- Establish a plan to provide safe and efficient transportation system for all roadway users, understanding the unique transportation characteristics near Greenvale Park Elementary School
- Identify ways to provide safer and more comfortable walking and biking routes in the area
- Support community planning and development goals
- Recommend improvements to address traffic-related issues associated with school pick-up and drop-off activities

Dates are subject to change.
- June to August 2023 - Initial concepts and evaluation
- June 6, 2023 - City Council - project study update
- July 20, 2023 - Open house - initial concepts
- September to November 2023 - Revise concepts
- October 17 - City Council - present preferred concept
- November 2023 - Open house - share preferred concept
- December 2023 to January 2024 - Final recommendations
- January 26, 2024 - City Council - accept final report recommendations

In addition to these opportunities, all City Council, boards, commission and committee meetings are open to the public. Most, but not all meetings, may have an opportunity for public comment.
